28 Feb The Best Assets for Personal collateral Loans
Kia ora, folks.
I’ve often spoken about how the Pawnbroking industry is changing for the better. And with pawnbroker personal collateral loans being safe, secure and best of all, there being no credit checks or waiting time, it’s no wonder we’re seeing a shift in the way society views pawnbroking and the role a good honest pawnbroker can play when it comes to personal finances
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, pawnbroking is no longer about getting rid of tatty bric-a-brac. These days there is a greater focus on high-value loans on quality items such as gold and other precious metals, fine art, gorgeous vintage cars, technology. But to be honest, that’s not where it stops; we consider any asset.
I’m seeing more and more people come to me after hearing through word of mouth just what I can do for them. It’s great! But with that in mind, not everybody knows what the best items to get a pawn loan are. Here are a few to get your head around.
The fairly stable value of gold and other precious metals makes them a great asset to pawn. Whether it’s gold rings, bullion, or coins, it’s an asset worth considering, regardless of the carat.
Panerai, Patek Phillipe, Rolex, Tag Heuer, all luxury watches are great to pawn. People become attached to items such as these (and see handbags below), and they don’t want to sell them outright. Naturally, watches must be in working order, and you’re going to get a better deal if you have the original box and papers.
- Designer handbags
I don’t know what exactly it is about designer handbags, but, much like watches, they go like hotcakes. Handbags that are the real article are a great asset to draw upon when you need money but don’t want to sell something for good. Check out how these ladies of luxury use pawnbrokers and their fancy bags to live the life they want.
Quite often my clients have an old car, or motorcycle locked away under a protective blanket. They’re the perfect asset to pawn to settle a debt or bridge finance. And of course, once it’s paid off, you get your pride and joy back.
Technology shapes our world every day. iPads, iMacs, and more, the newer and better the condition of the item the better. One of my favourite stories involved a young woman pawning her unused iMac so she could see her favourite band up in Auckland. Winning.
Those are just a few of the key assets we offer collateral loans on here at The Pawnbroker. But that certainly isn’t an exhaustive list. If you have something you’re considering for a pawn loan, just give us a call, and we’ll let you know if that 20th century Fabergé egg is worth anything. Or check out our FAQ online.
Take care out there.
